NOTICE: Street Resurfacing Project

Beginning on Monday, October 12th, a contractor for the City of Shelby will be resurfacing the following streets:

• West Elm Street (From Hamrick St. to Gold St.)

• Hamrick Street (From Royster Ave. to Ligon St.)

• Ligon Street (From Hamrick St. to Dead end)

• Northern Street (From Gardner St. to W Elm St.)

• Reed Street (From Northern St. to Whisnant St.)

• Hampton Street (From Royster Ave. to W. Elm St.)

• Whisnant Street (From Warren St. to W. Elm St.)

Expect personnel, vehicles, and equipment along and in the road with temporary lane closures while work is ongoing.  

Please do not park vehicles on the street in this area, or place leaf or brush piles in the street. Work in this area is anticipated to last approximately ten days; weather permitting.
