A. Approval of the Agenda
Council approved the July 20, 2026, agenda as presented.
B. Special Presentation
Mayor and Council presented the GFOA Certificate of Achievement of Excellence in Financial Reporting to Beth Beam, Director of Finance.

D. Public Hearing
Audrey Godfrey, Assistant Planning Director, presented the proposed Imagine Shelby Comprehensive Plan.
The Comprehensive Land Use Plan is a guiding document that will be used to advance coordinated, efficient and sustainable growth within the City. This plan will influence the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO), which is the development law, and is currently in the early stages of the revision process.
City Council unanimously approved Resolution No. 42-2026 adopting the Imagine Shelby Comprehensive Plan.
