Bid Advertisement

The City of Shelby is accepting sealed bids for the South Lafayette Street (NC Hwy 18) Waterline Replacement Project. The project generally consists of installing approximately 2,600 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron waterline to replace the existing 6-inch cast iron waterline along South Lafayette Street, from the intersection of Ramblewood Drive/Morton Street to the intersection of Broad Street/South Morgan Street. 

Sealed bids will be received at the George W. Clay, Jr. Utility Operations Center, 824 W. Grover Street, Shelby, NC 28150, until 3:00 p.m. local time on July 21, 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 11:00 a.m. on July 7, 2026, at the Utility Operations Center.
