Around 6 pm this evening, approximately 2,200 City of Shelby electric customers experienced power outages due to winds that caused a transmission feed issue to a City substation. Crews have cleared the lines, and power has been restored to over 2,175 customers. Crews remain on site addressing the remaining issues and should have all power restored by 8:45 pm this evening.
