The City of Shelby is pleased to announce that the First Broad River Trail, which has been closed due to damage caused by Hurricane Helene, has been reopened to the public. For additional information about Shelby's Trail System, click here.
UPDATED NOTICE: November 18, 2025
A section of the trail South from the bridge on Highway 74 is temporarily closed while DOT completes construction work on the bridge. Work is expected to take 2-3 days or more. Updates will be posted when work is complete, and this section of the trail is reopened.
