The City of Shelby has announced that Chelsey Martin has been selected to serve as Assistant Fire Chief for the Shelby Fire and Rescue Department. Chelsey began her career with the department as a Firefighter in October of 2015. She was promoted to Fire Inspector in February of 2019, and Professional Development & Logistics Officer in 2021. She will begin her new position as Assistant Fire Chief on November 10, 2025. We would like to thank Chelsey for her hard work and dedicated service to the Shelby Fire and Rescue Department and the citizens of our community.
