Public Notice: The public is hereby notified the City Council of the City of Shelby will hold its regular meeting of Monday, October 20, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Don Gibson Theatre located at 318 South Washington Street, Shelby, NC next to City Hall. The relocation of the meeting venue is necessitated by ongoing renovations to City Hall Council Chambers.
Public access to this meeting is available. This meeting will also be livestreamed via Facebook Live which can be accessed on your personal device.
Public Comment Period – Comments can be made in person by signing up with the City Clerk by 5:45 p.m. The Mayor will call on each individual and will keep track of your time, limited to three (3) minutes per speaker.
Public Hearings – The Shelby City Council will conduct two public hearings during this meeting. Persons interested in being heard on either of these matters are invited to comment at the respective hearing, whether for or against. Speakers must appear in person by signing up with the City Clerk by 5:45 p.m. Comments may be presented orally at the hearing, in writing prior to the hearing, or both.
