Public Works : Sanitation Collection

The City of Shelby’s 14 sanitation employee’s provide over 9,000 customers with a weekly collection of curbside household garbage and yard waste from all residential customers and multiple pickups for some businesses and schools inside the city limits; also curbside limb/brush, and leaf/grass clipping pickups on a 7-10 day cycle.   Employed are: 1 Superintendent, 1 Supervisor, and 12 Licensed Equipment Operator’s.
