2011 SHELBY CITY PARK T-BALL/COACH PITCH RULES

BATTER OPTION: Coach and Parents will determine the method of batting

Using the following guidlines:

     Coach Pitch: Player has a maximum of 5 pitches from their coach to hit a fair ball that crosses the 25 ft. arch line.

     Batting Tee: Player has a maximum of 3 swings to hit a fair ball that crosses the 25 ft. arch line.

NOTE: PLAYERS MUST COMPLETE EACH AT BAT THE WAY IT WAS STARTED.

THE GAME: Each game will consist of 3 innings unless altered by the Time Limit.

**NOTE** All Games are on a 1 hour TIME LIMIT. All Games will begin at 5:30PM. This is done so other teams that play after T-Ball/Coach Pitch Games can begin their games on time.

OFFENSE: Every player bats each inning. Outs do not count.

DEFENSE: Each team will use 8 defensive players. No Catcher position.

ALL PLAYERS MUST PLAY A MINIMUM OF ONE INNING ON DEFENSE.

RUNS: ALL RUNS THAT SCORE LEGALLY EACH INNING ARE COUNTED. HOWEVER, IF A TEAM HAS A LARGER NUMBER OF PLAYERS, THEIR RUNS ONLY COUNT THROUGH THE NUMBER OF BATTERS EQUAL TO THE TEAM WITH FEWER PLAYERS.

Scores are kept only for entertainment and as a means to monitor team improvement. The purpose of this league is to teach Sportsmanship and Fundamentals and to allow each player to participate and have fun.
