Parks and Recreation : March for babies 2011

The Cleveland County March for Babies is being held on Saturday October 1, 2011 at the Shelby City Park. This year’s event is expected to raise over $18,000 and have 350+ walkers come together to raise money and awareness for the March of Dimes so that one day, all babies will be born healthy and on time.    

Your company can play a major part in the success of the Cleveland County walk by being a sponsor and having a company walk team participate in the March for Babies. 

Major Sponsor - $500.00:   Verbal commitment needed by August 5, 2011. 

• Company logo on 100 t-shirt backs
• Company logo on posters distributed throughout Cleveland County
• Company logo and recognition on pre and post promotional emails (at least 3) sent to all registered walkers during the campaign (July – October)
• Tent and banner (company provided) displayed at the walk site
•  Opportunity to hand out promotional giveaways to all walkers before and after the walk
• Recognition from the main stage on walk day

Exhibitor Sponsor - $250.00:

• Table provided to display information and hand out promotional items in the vendor area
• Recognition on pre and post promotional emails (at least 3) sent to all registered walkers during the campaign (July - October)
• Recognition from the main stage on walk day

Water Station - $150.00:

• Recognition from the main stage on walk day
• Access to 350+ walkers as they walk by your table on the walk route
• Opportunity to hand out literature and/or product on walk day
• You bring the enthusiasm, we’ll bring the water

Route Sign Sponsor - $50.00:  

• Company name on route sign posted along the walk route

Ambassador Avenue Sign- $20.00

This part of the walk route is solely dedicated to those families that have been personally touched by our mission.  It’s a special place along the walk route where families can honor or memorialize their child (or children).  Anyone may purchase a sign (provided by the March of Dimes), decorate with pictures and messages, and we will place on Ambassador Avenue on walk day.

The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.  The mission is accomplished through research, community service, public and professional education and advocacy.
