Parks and Recreation : Disc golf
revitalizing palmer park near uptown shelby
The City of Shelby Parks and Recreation Department announces the opeining of the newly renovated Clarence Palmer Park with a 9-hole disc-golf course very suitable for recreational use, and 4-new outdoor basketball goals on a newly painted surface. This project is a step to re-creating recreational and leisure activities in the area for people of all ages. With the support of the adjoining neighborhoods, it is our hope this will be the first of many things returning to the once vibrant park. If you have questions, or would like to help please contact Park's Director Charlie Holtzclaw at 704-484-6811 or click here to email.
