Will perform responsible semiskilled work assisting in the installation, repair and maintenance of water and sewer lines and appurtenances; makes water and sewer taps and service connections; installs meters; repairs and service lines and related facilities; unstops lines with rodding or jet machine; flushes hydrants; operates trucks, air hammer, tapping machine, backhoe and other mechanical equipment; performs general grounds maintenance tasks; excavates and backfills trenches; performs landscaping on property after work is completed and mows right-of-ways.  Position requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and possession of or ability to obtain Grade I Wastewater Collection and/or Class C Water Distribution certifications within 18 months of employment.  Cross Connection Control System Operator certification preferred.  Position is open until filled.
