Mr. Dicky Amaya was born in Weymouth, Mass but his family soon afterwards moved to Bogotá, Colombia where he lived for nearly 18 years.  He moved to Shelby in 1973 when his parents relocated here.  Dicky started his business, Amaya-Glaze Company, in 1978.  He is married to Marywinn Shull Amaya and together they have three grown and married children, Evan, Cora, and Isabel.  They are the proud grandparents of an 18th month old boy and anticipate the soon arrival of a grandbaby girl.  Dicky is a member of Central United Methodist Church where he is active in the music ministry.  Dicky is also a Young Life volunteer leader at Burns High School.
