Mr. Shores was elected to Ward 5 in October 2005 and re-elected in November 2009. Mr. Shores is employed full time with the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office as a Captain. Mr. Shores oversees Criminal Investigations, Narcotics, CSI, Community Policing and K-9 divisions. He is also the Commander of the Crisis Negotiation Team.  Mr. Shores has a BS degree in Criminal Justice from Western Carolina University and is also a graduate of the National FBI Academy.
