Mrs. Patterson was elected to Ward 3 in December 2002. She is a Shelby native and a graduate of Shelby High School. Mrs. Patterson is a North Carolina Real Estate Broker and the Office Manager of Foothills Consulting. She is a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Mrs. Patterson and her husband, Jack, have a daughter, Cheri, who lives in Shelby and a son, Michael, who lives in Atlanta.
