Citizens may appear before the City Council to be heard on any subject related to City government, or any individual matter, which may involve City government. A provision is made at the second regular meeting each month on City Council agenda for Public Comment. At this time, citizens are encouraged to bring to the Council’s attention matters that are not otherwise specifically listed on the agenda. You will be requested to use the speaker’s stand, give your name and address, identify any group which you represent, and limit your remarks to no more than three (3) minutes. Any item of business that requires more detail or time should be requested to be placed on the agenda.
To request an item to be placed on the agenda, a written request, stating purpose and providing background information, should be presented to the City Clerk by 12:00 noon on the Monday preceding the City Council meeting when a matter is to be heard.
Regular business items are for discussion and debate by City Council only, and members of the audience are invited to observe these proceedings without interruption.
