Parks and Recreation Advisory Board

PURPOSE

The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board shall serve the City Council and City Manager in an advisory capacity and may suggest and recommend general policy guidance over the operation of City recreational facilities, and such other duties as the City Manager may request.

MEMBERSHIP

The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board shall be composed of nine (9) members appointed by City Council.

TERMS

Board members serve three year, staggered terms.  Terms expire in July.

MEETINGS

Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 12:00 noon, Shelby City Park Aquatics Center Conference Room, 850 West Sumter Street, Shelby, NC.
