Why do we have muddy water?

There can be serveral reasons for this. Usually, it is where the City has been working on a main line near the vicinity. Sometimes, if hydrants have been used or flushed by either the Fire Department or the Utilities Department, the high volume of water will break loose deposits on the main line. Another reason could be the type of material and age of the customers service lines from the meter and the piping in the residence.
