About Human Resources
The Human Resources Department is responsible for providing employee relations and services for over 325 full-time, 65 part-time and approximately 70 seasonal employees.
Major responsibilities of the Human Resources Department are to ensure that employees are managed fairly, well-trained, supported, and assigned job duties to accomplish City business goals in a cost-effective, efficient and safe manner. This is achieved by being visible and available to employees; new employee orientation; pay and classification management; safety and loss control; policy development and interpretation; processing pay; training and development; employee service and recognition; employee communications; benefits administration; and performance evaluation.
