Grover/Morgan Waterline Project Update: April 21, 2017: The next phase of the new 24” waterline installation will start on Monday, April 24th.  Morgan St. will be closed between W. Grover St. and Lee St. through Friday, April 28th; weather permitting. Construction crews will maintain access for local traffic only.

Clean up events on Earth Day, Saturday, April 22nd

The City of Shelby Stormwater Division is providing support to several local volunteer groups conducting clean-up events on Earth Day, Saturday, April 22. 


The Broad River Alliance will be hosting a First Broad River Clean-up event.  The event will start at 10:00 am at Double Shoals Mill.  Bring water, lunch, gloves, and appropriate clothing to be in the water.  If you would like to reserve a boat, contact David Caldwell at  


Women Outdoors will be hosting a litter sweep along the Carolina Thread Trail.  The event will start at 10:00 am at the Twin Trestle Trail Head.  Please bring water and gloves to the event.
